Into the Abyss

Dear Diary,

Like I had promised I followed F’lahminn’s request. I returned to Ul’dah and made my way to the Arrzaneth Ossuary, the Thaumaturge’s Guild and pretended to be a new pupil.
When I entered through the doors of the guild it gave me just the creepy impression I always had of those dark magic freaks…. Having a giant statue standing in the middle of the hall….

Taking a deep breath I turned to the desk to tell the innocent looking lady there I would love to join their freakish sect. And she really accepted without any hesitation. The Guild Leader himself came to greet me. … a little bit too easy if you ask me. And of course my feeling was right. He already knew that F’lahminn would send someone to ask about the resurrection magic. I was exposed and nothing new came from it… bad luck I guess.
On the same day the funeral for Ascillia’s father was held. It was a lonely picture. The only person there who really had known him was his own daughter.

But I was surprised to spot Niel far off the crowd next to some pillars in the dark. Did he feel guilty or what….? F’lahminn also was there and I overheard a conversation with the Guild master.
He said the dark arts of them aren’t meant to bring back the dead. Bad news once again.
After the funeral guests had left again I returned to the Master Mumuepo. But he was not alone. Corguevais left in a big hurry as I came near. I wonder what his business there had been.

Mumuepo told me the same he had told F’lahminn. Bringing a dead person back to live is nothing that should be done. Just what I was saying all along! Let the dead sleep and everything will be fine.
On the other hand I felt bad about everything. There is no way to get the important information we would need from Warburton.
I guess we just need to find out ourselves. After the fruitless day i returned to Momodi to give her my report and order a drink or two. Once in a while not a bad thing.

Let the games begin!

Dear Diary,

today was the first day of my training! It was very exciting~
Gridania already feels like home to me. And I also met a very nice Miqote who’s named Nesira. She’s also living in Gridania and is also new to the city like me!
Isn’t she good-looking? Sometimes I am jealous….

Anyway! We went out into the dark, creepy woods to kill evil monsters!! I wasn’t scared one second! Hahaha!
Hmm but I wonder why the Guild gave me the tasks to kill cute squirrels and running Funguar? I bet they think I can’t handle big dragons yet! …well my magic skills aren’t that great yet… but soon I am ready~
Nesi and me were such a great team~

My training was very sucessful thanks to Nesi. But soon it became very dark… and we decided to go back. But I feel so much stronger now. I’ll visit the Conjurer’s Guild soon and ask them if I could get a teacher!

Nesi was very tired after the fighting… so she went home very fast. That’s understandable! Since she has to move a lot and needs a lot of strength to shoot her arrows! Not like me… I only have to use my mind hehehe…. but that’s also very exhausting…
I thought it would be nice to take a little break in the Adventurers Guild and sat down in a calm corner. But then I heard someone talking really loud upstairs. I bet she was drunk! Sounded like a Lalafell girl if I remember right… /think

Anyway…. that was my first real day of training… now it’s time to take a nap…

Life’s a game

Once again Momodi had summoned me because she had one of her neverending, absurd jobs. But this time I was told to visit the Pugilists’ Guild “Platinum Mirage”. A great name for the best of all guild indeed… a bit too fancy for a guild of fighters, no?
Very soon I found out the truth. Behind shut doors the Platinum Mirage is a gambleing hell for rich snobs… amazing.
I wasn’t surprised to hear that Niel and his friends where meeting there. This bloated Elezen always seemed like a snobbish son of a esteemed family. And to make my bad day even worse Thancred joined my fun trip… ack…. He seemed to have heard rumors about the Garlean Empire and spies in Ul’dah and Niel was the person to know more of it.

The Garlean Empire… back in the days when the Empire had attacked, I was living happily with my first crew on a ship…
I never had anything to do with those fights… Those were good old days. I wonder if they’ll return one day.
On the other hand, if the rumors were true, this could be the trace I was looking for. I never saw Garlean soldiers before, so it was possible they were the ones who attacked us out there.

As I entered the room Niel and the bard already had an argument. But they were not alone…. the 2 Lalafell, their big boss, the old Elezen guy and my dear angel F’lahminn were also listening. Thancred accused them all to have planned the chaos at the parade to play the hero part… (which was mine anway but whatever… ) … and let the father of Ascillia die.
What a stupid accusation! As if my dear F’lahminn would plan such horrible things! Niel got pretty angry of course….

A bit shocked and angry myself I returned to Momodi after my job was done. There, a enjoyable message was waiting for me.
F’lahminn asked me to meet her outside the city near the mines. A thing you don’t have to ask me twice and as fast as I could I made my way to the place. Just when I almost had reached it I heard this distinctive, angelic voice. Her song was a bit sad… I wondered what she was thinking about as I also heared the voices of the 2 lalafell guys…
It seems Popokkuli and Seserukka want F’lahminn to marry any of them…. what a dumb request. There is only one guy out there she would marry…. ehehehe…..

The two of them left as I came near so F’lahminn and me were alone, but not for long. Ascillia joined us. Looks like F’lahminn feels bad about the situation with her dead father and looks after the girl. She’s too good for this world…
We discussed the next steps and almost ignored the old Corguevais, who came to talk to her too. Ascillia wasn’t happy. Her grudge lies deep and somehow I can understand her… but what he had to say was interesting. He thought about a way to bring back her father with forbidden magic which the Thaumaturge Guild was researching.
The thought of zombie-like beings gave me the chills but even F’lahminn asked me to follow this idea and sneak into the Guild to find out more.
And once again I played the knight in shining amour for her and accepted.
I hope I won’t regret this one day…..

My LS and my freetime

Dear Diary,

some weeks ago, Riiko asked me to kill some Dodos and steal their Wind Shards. So we met at Camp Drybone to start the massacre.
After the fighting we returned to Ul’dah. Riiko said she would have to buy some supplies. I myself went to Momodi to see if she has new jobs, but all the time I felt a bit observed. After a while I realised that Riiko was following me…. really… what a girl is she?
I pretended to be surprised to see her and we sat down to talk a bit.

We talked about our pasts and I think i got a bit careless and told her that I worked on a ship…. but she thought I was a cabin boy… dumb Lalafell… but I won’t let her know the truth. Well…. not yet.

Then some days ago I met her pupil and our Leader Kyle at the camp.

The past days I didn’t see him… I guess he’s busy with training or something… and to be honest… he needs it.
Riiko seems to be a rather bad teacher… first I thought this boy really knows what he does.. but then he almost died in front of my eyes. Tsk… I was able to save him in the last second. Would be bad if I let my LS leader die, right?
null
Of course he was too proud to thank me. Just as I thought.

During my training I spotted a strange guy… he wore a red armour and a helmet. He looked somehow important… but dissapeared as fast as he came.

It also was time for new clothes… the government of Eorzea decided to sort the markets and I was able to find the finest clothes out there… I look good….

Oh and of course another important note… I got some Onion Pattens.
I got a note from the Brotherhood of broken Blade in Limsa Lominsa to take care of some pirates. Heh….. asking ME to kill pirates… it was so wonderful ironic. After gathering some LS Members, we started the mission and finished it without any problems…
My Harem new friends really are something.

Since our bloodlust wasn’t satisfied yet we went out to kill giant crabs. Also no problem…. on our way we discovered a wonderful beach. It felt like home… I got a little bit sad and asked myself what everyone would have said to the view we got…..

Dating a Mi’qote

Dear Diary,

I guess you remember F’lahminn. Our date went very smoothly… We met in front of Ul’dah and made our way to Camp Black Brush like it was planned. It was a nice trip, but some squirrels thought they had to molest F’lahminn. I couldn’t allow this and proctected her of course. She was so impressed by my fighting skills. I have to admit…. I blushed a little bit…
Soon we arrived at Black Brush.

Just as I thought it would be a great chance to tell F’lahminn how beautiful her voice is a big fuss started in front of our eyes…
The old Elezen guy was attacked by a small screaming girl. I think I saw her during the parade. She accused him to be her father’s murderer. The gobbue, which he wasn’t able to control, had caused deadly wounds. F’lahminn and me went over to stop all this ruckus and then the smoothtalker-bard also appeared and took the girl back to Ul’dah. Her father had died in the hospital.
A sad story but… things happen. I wasn’t too impressed by all her tears. Nevertheless I made a note to visit the hospital at a later time.
F’lahminn had finished her business in the mean time and we both went back to the city. This time without annoying attacks.

After I took her home savely Momodi called me for a new job. I was asked to play nurse at Frondale’s Phrontistery. *sighs*
Do I look like your fool for everything? But I was curious about the dead Hyur and went there. As I entered I discovered something strange between all the alchemists.
memmet
These mammets are cute little guys…. but a little bit creepy with those big empty eyes.
One of the assistants showed me the way in and after entering the hospital itself I ran into the master Faustigeant. A guy just my type, I thought in the first second. And then he opened his mouth and talked to me like you would talk to some servant…

Who does he think he is?! A bit angry I followed the way to find the little girl, Ascilia, and the old fart sitting next to a bed. Her father really had died… but the girl is too poor to pay a funeral. Faustigeant only thought about how fast he could get rid of the corpse… a cruel bastard….
When he left a smaller Elezen boy came to comfort Ascillia a bit, she said something really disturbing.

Her father went to Ul’dah because it was in great danger… but he took all the valuable informations into the afterworld…
I wonder what this danger could be?

The singing Goddess

Dear Diary,

As I promised I’ll tell you something more about the people I met the past days.
First there was this lost looking Elezen Guy (his name is long and boring so I just call him Izzy… he doesn’t mind…. anymore)
He asked me if I needed some help with anything. And since he looked very poor I offered him a little job as my servant. He happily accepted the offer and even calls me master! What a good boy…
izzy

Then I met Scott Randyll. First I thought: “He looks like a strong Ally!” and then I thought: “He looks so familiar….”
Really… I can’t help but think he has some similarities with Kyle. But he says he knows nobody with that name… maybe I am wrong… Or he lies… or he is some weird uncle from outer lands… who knows.
scott

It was also time to uprgade my weapons a bit! My old Weathered Hora served me very well the past years but it was time for a change. What a good thing that I am very skilled in such matteres and made myself a new pair of Hora. They look so much better and have a good grip.
hora

With my new weapons equipped I felt that it was time to show some guys in the Colosseum who’s the boss. But as I entered I heard rumors about some Roegadyn who killed the Gobbue at the parade…. REALLY! That was me you douchebags…. I turned on the heels and rather went to Eshtaime’s Lapidaries, the Goldsmith’s Guild. I still had the flower I picked up from the Gobbue. I thought it would bring some good money. At the Guild I met the master himself. Niellefresne (I just call him Niel….) has a pretty face… I think I also saw him near the cute Miqoteh at the parade.
niel
But don’t be fooled by his lookes…. he ripped me off and only gave me 2000 Gil for my amazing flower….

A bit frustraded I asked Momodi where to go to next and she told me I should visit the Miner’s Guild. Maybe it would lighten up my mood. I wondered what she meant by that, but as I entered all questions were answered! Even those I never even asked yet….
There she was… singing like an angel. Her name is F’lhaminn.
fla
While I stood there, mesmerized by this angelic voice two guys started a fight with an old man and disturbed F’lhaminns performance. Just as I wanted to get on them the small form of this adorable Miqoteh came running up to me…. asking me for help.
How could I say no? And it was my plan anyway…. being undercover or not… girls in danger are an execption…. sometimes boys too…
fight
So I went up to those noisemaker to show them who has the better arguments. Just when I wanted to start with my two best arguments, two Lalafell showed up and sent them flying out. It was a bit impressive what strength was in those little guys… but… just a bit….
lala

F’lhaminn talked to the old guy and as I came near I recognized him. He was the old guy who let the Gobbue break out at the parade. Really lame… but since he seemd to be a friend of my singing goddess I said nothing…
We found out that there was some trouble going on at the mines outside the city and the people need a reminder to not go there.
F’lhaminn offered to go the Camp and tell everybody and even asked me to come along! It’s absolutely sure that she just wants to spend some time with me… because I saved her…. so we set a time to meet up at the gate.
When the sun was setting F’lhaminn finally arrived at our meeting point. I bet she had to prepare herself for our date…. ehehe… what a cute girl…
date

So far….. a lot happened on our date… but more next time.

Lazy Days

Dear Diary,

the past days really were eventful…

First of all… I just hate the weather around Ul’dah! I mean, who had the idea of building a city in a desert… every evening before I go to bed I spend hours with cleaning all my clothes. You just won’t find one fold without sand in it! And if there is no sandstorm raging around my pointy ears then it will rain….
rain
Then I also went out to buy myself some new clothes. My old ones really are worn out by now. It’s my own fault to lose my ship while being on an undercover mission… and while I was on an shopping tour I also tried myself as Goldsmith and made myself new juwelry. I miss my expensive stuff from back then……

I also met a lot of new people. They’re all strange characters…
There is this Miqo’te Leonie. She’s so greedy and only thinks about money money and money. But I have to admit she’s very capable with her hands. Making shiny stuff is her speciality.

Then there is Riiko. Don’t be fooled by her cute appearance. She’s soooo old…. 280 Years! (At least her pupil Kyle said so….) She told me she was once a mighty Pugilist master. I have to be careful around her… the little girl is very nosy. I think she can sense that I’m not as normal as I try to appear. As we talked  she was able to smell the sea from my old clothes so I had to tell her I was traveling on a ship as a cabin boy. One day she could be a strong ally.

The other people will follow on a later entry… I need to keep track of my surroundings… And as we’re talking about surroundings. Just today I finally found a place to stay at when it’s raining again. A small cave with nice glowing flowers.
